A man called Frank just called the radio here to say he read a book in the library of the congress that says the Jews were only 13% of the population and had bought only 8% of the land of Palestine and the rest the land were either given to them by the UN or taken by the gun! He added "Listen I love Jews but at this time and age we can not continue ....'
Well, thank you Frank!

Our revolution will win!
Looking at this photo of the 6 potential candidates I can tell the revolution will win!
We (the Egyptians) will be better as long as we work together. We can subscribe to different political ideas but let us all agree that we want Egypt after the revolution to be better than before the revolution.

10 years after 9/11

I still remember that morning.
What I will not forget is how my American classmates reacted with me the Egyptian student. Despite the large numbers whom were killed on that day and despite the uncertainties of the day, two of them came to my office with one question "Are 'you' OK? Did anyone hurt you?" They were concerned about *me*? The Egyptian student in their class!
You can disagree with the American policy as much a you want but you can not help but admire the American people especially when you live among them and learn really about them.
In the memory of 9/11 I wish we see no 9/11 ever again not the in the USA, not in Egypt and not in any country on planet EARTH!

NewYork Times on the day the Egyptian Revolution began
Today on the New York Times by MICHAEL SLACKMAN and MONA EL-NAGGAR wrote:
" ... Same radical Islamists, who once embraced an ideology that rejected participating in societies they deemed un-Islamic, including their own, were now engaged with their fellow citizenry. Peacefully engaged.
“There is a newfound conviction that protests, strikes and civil action are more effective than fighting and force,” said Marwan Shehadeh, an expert on radical Islamist groups and ideology based in Amman, Jordan.
“I think the average Western person must re-evaluate many stereotypes about Arabs,” said Alaa Al Aswany, a best-selling Egyptian author and social critic. “For example, the stereotype that veiled women are helpless or that being veiled means you’re not an independent woman. ”Mr. Aswany said he realized that the Arab Spring was the opposing bookend to the Sept. 11 attacks not long ago, during a weekly salon he holds in Cairo. His French translator, Gilles Gauthier, approached him. “Osama bin Laden,” the translator told Mr. Aswany, “did not die yesterday, but he was killed on the 25th of January.”
