أمين شرطة

I got this joke emailed to me:

أمين شرطة عنده ولدين مش شاطرين في المدرسة.

وحين ظهرت النتيجة جاء وأعطى الولد الاول الشهادة لابيه، فقرأ فيها درجاتة الواطية، وخلع الحزام ونزل ضرب فيه.
عندما انتهى تقدم الولد الثاني منه واعطاه الشهادة. فالتفت اليه وقال
- علاماتك زفت بس روح المرة دى...يمكن السنة الثانية تكون علاماتك احسن!!
استغرب الولد الاول هذا التصرف وقال لاخيه:

- نفسي اعرف ليه ما ضربكش مع انه علاماتك أسوأ من علاماتي.
قال الثاني:
- بسيطة...حطيتله في الشهادة 5 جنيه ...!!!

This joke reminds me of a terrible fact that the regular every day Egyptians are responsible for corrupting the regular every day Police soldier. If you offer to pay a bribe for a police soldier to park illegally (for example) than you are responsible for ALL the corruption in the society. You can not then complain if someone paid a bigger bribe to get the job you wanted or win the bid that your company was competing for ...

As I learned here in the USA: YOu can not have your cake and eat it too ...

Wake up Egyptians! We are responsible for the corruption we created ... It is not always Hosni Mubarak's fault (only most of the time but not always!).
