After 3 hours I managed to fix the problem with the hinge that was holding my tablet PC (Toshiba Satellite) and in the process I discovered that the tablet PC screen can be cleaned from inside to remove the spots that was on the screen that I thought were burned pixels tat were lost for ever.
Needless to say there were many screws to remove and many wires that I had to keep in place while I was removing the broken hinge that was about to tear my screen bottom apart.
Such a relief! I have a clean screen and the hinge is now out on my desk. Of course now the screen is supported by only one hinge but that is OK.
